Flights!
It is finally happening. We are getting flights! The very first LC-130 of the season just landed. It carried a bunch of firefighters and our ARFF vehicle, both now a requirement for any passenger flights.
My toasty fellow winter-overs were supposed to leave on this flight but because of some minor mechanical problem they won’t be taking any passengers back. Let’s hope that the weather holds and everyone gets out on the second LC-130 flight of the day.

Dear Steffen,
Greeting from Russia, Moscow!
Would you so kind to me…is it possible to find an aircraft for 6-7 passengers to make a flight from Eduardo Frei Montalva Station, King George Island Airport to South Pole?
Thank you in advance,
Julia
