BICEP Calibration at -90F

A few days ago the skies were all clear and it was time to run another polarization calibration schedule. This requires to change the configuration of some of the outside parts of the telescope.

We have to take the standard fore baffle off and replace it with the dielectric sheet calibrator. Seems easy enough, but at -90F it becomes a challenge.

I usually work alone during the night but for this task I needed a helper. So I got our comms tech Shaun to come out and while I was waiting for him I set up my camera for a time lapse. The video is a condensed version of our prep work. Watch Shaun doing a little YMCA impression while waiting for me to move the telescope.
