Sunset
Sunset at the South Pole has come and gone. We had some nice patches of weather leading up to the sunset, which is a moving target down here.

On the day of the traditional sunset dinner it was all gray in gray with not a sliver of bright orange light in sight. This didn’t stop us from having a good party. It was a bit unusual to have such big dinner for breakfast but I managed.

The next day the sun reappeared very shortly on my way out to work. Long enough for a last picture. Next time it will be seen is in September. Let the Aurora season begin!

It seems to be getting a little more chilly by you…. wow what temps. the sunset pictures are beautiful… i just can;t imagine seeing the sunset for the last time for 6 months.
what temp is the inside of your building?
do you keep it a certain temp at all times?
